As our production output is high, so therefore is the amount of waste we generate, rest assured Harcourt Colour Print takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously and is currently working towards the prestigious Green Dragon Award, ISO 14001 and FSC Accreditation.

Everything that can be recycled is recycled, including:
Paper, Metal, Wood and Plastic. All chemicals are removed from our factory by a qualified waste management company.

You and the environment are in safe hands!

In twelve months Harcourt Colour Print consumes some 983 tonnes of paper. It takes around 17 trees to make a tonne of paper. At Harcourt Colour Print, in 2010, 24% of the paper purchased was recycled. Therefore by using the recycled paper we have saved in excess of 4,000 trees in just a year. The remaining 76% of paper purchased was from sustainable forests.

In addition energy usage for making recycled papers is reduced by 64% – this supports carbon reduction, water usage also being reduced by 50%.

Using digital printing to reduce waste.

By utilising digital printing wherever suitable for low run projects such as business cards and tailored marketing, waste for make ready is significantly reduced to just 10% saving some 2128 kg of board being wasted each year or another 36 trees.
