our team

Ian Harcourt
I have been in the print trade since leaving Watford Print College in 1985. After 2 years working on the factory floor I progressed into production planning then sales. In 1992 I set up Harcourt Litho, our first year sales figure was £300,000 we are now aiming to hit £3,000,000!

Each Day is different and I’m very enthusiastic about our ability and I hope that you’ll enjoy being part of it by using us.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife Tanya, my two boys Tom and Jaxon, my step-daughter Sammy and step-son Liam. I also enjoy playing squash and watching Swansea City.

I’m Laura, I work in the estimating department at Harcourt. I’ve been here for 3 years and really feel part of the team because of the great spirit and fun we have.

In my spare time I like reading, going to the cinema, eating out and seeing my family and friends.

Having graduated with an honours degree in History I almost became a teacher! I changed direction, trained in marketing and spent 12 years working in publishing, latterly as Marketing Director for a division of International Thomson one of the largest publishing companies in the UK.

This gave me my connection with the print industry and eventually I switched across and worked for two companies in the West Country as Sales and Marketing Director where I ran the Sales teams for both of these companies.

It had always been my intention to work for a Welsh printer and my move to Harcourt was the best decision I could have made. Great ethos, great attitude and great people.

I live in Hampshire with my wife Kathryn. We have three children, Victoria, Rhiannon and Richard and two grandchildren, Jack and Bryn.

Like everyone else at Harcourt, I am passionate about Welsh rugby and football and follow Glamorgan County Cricket Club. I also play golf badly when time allows.

It is a case of gamekeeper turned poacher with me, originally a customer during the 90’s with Harcourt, whilst running my own design and print brokerage company. I joined in 1999 (when I had hair, and what little I had wasn’t grey). I opened and ran our London Sales Office in 2005 and still service a growing number of London Accounts.

Talking of running, I am a keen sportsman and took part in the Berlin Marathon in 2009 for Charity. I also competed at Judo whilst serving in the Army as well as playing rugby and squash well into my 40’s. My bachelor days are well and truly over…. In May 2010 I married Julie.

Sales and Marketing

Mike Pugh
Trained in print ‘many’ years ago at Cardiff College and have run my own printing business for 30 years. I joined Harcourt’s in March 2011 together with my wife Lell.

I am fully trained in every department of the print trade and love coming to work, I am very enthusiastic about the Company and hope you will enjoy using us.

When I’m not working my time is spent with my family and friends, mostly outdoors around the Tenby area.

I have been a very keen windsurfer since my teens, “I am probably the oldest dude on the beach these days” don’t get me started on the subject as you will not get me to stop. I also enjoy kayaking, squash and football.

I look forward to contributing towards Harcourt’s growth and success.
